PREM Group Ethical Purchasing Statement

Introduction

At PREM Group, we are committed to ethical, sustainable, and responsible procurement. As a hospitality business, we understand the importance of sourcing from suppliers that uphold high standards of environmental sustainability, ethical business practices, and corporate responsibility.

To ensure our supply chain meets these standards, we work with Avendra, a leading procurement provider in the hospitality industry. Avendra is responsible for sourcing, vetting, and managing our suppliers, ensuring they align with industry best practices. In turn, Avendra partners with EcoVadis, a globally recognised sustainability ratings provider, to assess suppliers on key environmental, ethical, and social criteria.

Our Procurement Partners

Avendra International – Our Trusted Procurement Partner

Avendra International is a leading procurement service provider that manages supplier selection and ensures compliance with sustainability and ethical business practices. As a founding member of the Hospitality Alliance for Responsible Procurement (HARP), Avendra is dedicated to promoting responsible sourcing across the hospitality industry.

Avendra carefully selects suppliers based on strict sustainability criteria, covering environmental impact, ethical business conduct, and corporate responsibility. This process ensures that the goods and services we procure align with best practices while also meeting the needs of our business.

EcoVadis – Supplier Sustainability Assessments

To uphold sustainability and ethical procurement standards, Avendra works with EcoVadis, a globally recognised third-party assessment platform. EcoVadis is responsible for evaluating supplier performance, ensuring they meet key sustainability criteria across four core areas:

  1. Environmental Impact – Carbon footprint reduction, waste management, and responsible resource use.

  2. Ethical Business Practices – Integrity, transparency, and anti-corruption compliance.

  3. Labour & Human Rights – Fair wages, safe working conditions, and non-discrimination policies.

  4. Sustainable Procurement – Responsible sourcing and continuous improvement in supply chain practices.

Since PREM Group does not conduct direct supplier assessments, we fully rely on Avendra and EcoVadis to vet and monitor supplier sustainability, ethics, and compliance.

Our Commitments

PREM Group is dedicated to responsible procurement by:

  • Sourcing Through Avendra: Ensuring all suppliers are vetted through Avendra’s procurement framework and EcoVadis’ sustainability rating system.

  • Prioritising Sustainable and Ethical Suppliers: Working only with suppliers who meet Avendra’s strict environmental and ethical criteria.

  • Reducing Carbon Footprint: Supporting Avendra’s initiatives that encourage suppliers to implement CO₂ reduction, waste management, and energy efficiency strategies.

  • Ensuring Compliance and Best Practices: Relying on Avendra to manage supplier compliance with industry regulations, legal due diligence, and ethical business conduct.

Social and Community Impact

Through our partnership with Avendra and EcoVadis, PREM Group contributes to a more responsible hospitality industry by:

  • Supporting local and national suppliers who align with ethical business practices.

  • Encouraging sustainability initiatives that benefit the environment and communities.

  • Ensuring our procurement choices reflect responsibility and integrity, without compromising quality or service.

Supplier Declarations for Non-Avendra Vendors

While PREM Group primarily sources goods and services through the Avendra procurement process to ensure quality, compliance and ethical standards, we recognise that in certain cases, suppliers may fall outside of this system. In such instances, we require all non-Avendra suppliers to complete a Supplier Declaration before any agreement is finalised.

This declaration ensures that suppliers meet the same high standards we uphold across our supply chain. It covers key areas including:

  • Compliance with relevant local and international laws

  • Adherence to fair labour practices and human rights, including the prohibition of child and forced labour

  • Environmental responsibility and sustainable sourcing practices

  • A commitment to anti-corruption and transparent business operations

  • Promotion of diversity and inclusion in the workplace

  • Willingness to participate in audits or provide supporting documentation when requested

By signing the Supplier Declaration, vendors confirm their understanding of and commitment to these principles. This allows us to maintain consistent ethical standards across all supplier relationships, regardless of procurement channel.

Continuous Improvement

We will continue working with our procurement partners to strengthen our commitment to ethical and sustainable purchasing. By adopting this responsible procurement strategy, PREM Group ensures that sustainability remains at the heart of our business operations while delivering high-quality services to our guests and stakeholders.
