As Operations & Pre opening trainee you will get the opportunity to work together with both our colleagues at headquarters in Ghent as the employees in the hotel (s) in which you will be working. You will deal with the daily tasks in a hotel and will gain many different and unique experiences during the opening of a hotel. Think of implementing new concepts for a hotel such as a new breakfast concept, conducting quality audits, preparation of manuals for the new apartments / rooms. Furthermore, you will also be actively involved in the follow up ofthe renovation of the new opening hotel. We offer you a good mix of tasks which will help you to develop yourself optimally in all possible ways.

Tasks

  • Quality control (check that the required standards are met in the hotels);
  • Implementation of new breakfast concept;
  • Preparation of manuals for the new apartments/rooms (for example the manual for the Housekeeping department);
  • Assisting staff with the implementing of the new manuals;
  • Follow up during construction (provision and check that everything is on schedule);
  • Conduct job interviews;
  • Contact suppliers and requesting quotations;
  • Organize staff trainings;
  • Request authorization permits.

Knowdledge and skills

  • Knowledge of Dutch and English is a must, French is an advantage;
  • Knowledge of Word, Excel, social media and Outlook is a must;
  • Knowledge of the organization PREM Group and its hotels;

Conditions

Specific education required: Studying a bachelor in Hotel Management.
