The Irish Hotel Federation held their annual conference last week. It was a superb event that ended with the Gala Dinner. Guest of honor was Mr Enda Kenny, Taoiseach (Prime Minister) who was accompanied by Mr Leo Varadkar, Minister for Transport, Tourism and Sport. It was a great honor for me to have served as President of the Irish Hotel Federation from 2002-2004. It is a great organisation that does trojan work representing the interests of the hotel and guesthouse sector in Ireland.
The attached photo brings together 9 past presidents and the incoming President Mr Stephen McNally. Mr Richard Burke, non executive Director of PREM Group is standing 2nd from the right. For those of you that are not familiar with Irish politics, the Prime Minister is sitting front row 3rd from the left and the Minister for Tourism is back row 3rd from the left. Needless to say a good night was had by all.
